This year has flown by!

I can't believe tomorrow is already Thanksgiving! This year really flew by. Are any of you going to be hitting the sales friday? I will not!! Instead, I'll be looking out for sales online, no people to deal with & I can shop at my own pace instead of people pushing into me. A lot of stores are opening at 4am, wow don't think I could get up that early if I had to! We're going to be moving shortly, so if my blog lacks updates, sorry, I'll be back shortly & fill everyone in.

I was bored browsing the internet & I found a new blog! Sarah at the stroller ballet, her blog is funny & if your a parent, you'll be able to relate to a lot of the stuff she posts about. There are tons of things people never tell you about being a parent or things that you think "oh it can't be that bad" until it happens to you. I'm sure I'm not the only one when it comes to being puked on..in public. When my baby was little (probably 5 months or so) he always threw up. One day we were at the store & it came out of nowhere, all the wipes & bibs I had with me were soaked, this older lady comes up to me & hands me tissues & says 'I've had kids, I know what its like'. I'm so glad my son is/has been out of that stage for a long time!

On another note, you'll should go check out Rachel at made with love & glue she has an awesome pottery barn inspired christmas wreath! Hers looks almost exactly like the pb one!

girl or boy..

I can't wait til we find out the gender of our baby! I already have everything in mind if we have a girl, but for a boy I'm stuck. Since we already have a boy, I don't want trucks or cars for a crib set, since my son's room has that. I was looking for an airplane set & can't find any I like. I remember awhile ago, pottery barn kids had the brady set, which I loved, but we weren't even planning another baby then. Now that I want that set, I can't find it anywhere & I've looked everywhere it seems like. Now I'm leaning towards maybe a nautical theme, but finding a set i like is hard. Guess I'll just have to wait & see what we're having and go from there.

crazy..

I haven't posted in awhile, but so much has been going on lately. We're getting ready to move so packing has been crazy with a toddler around. I'm almost done though. Christmas is coming up very quickly too! I can't believe this year is almost over! I've been trying to make this blog look better then it was! I'm also new at this so if something looks funny, let me know!

Serving Tray

I've been wanting to make a serving tray for awhile now, but just haven't had the time to find a tray. After coming across Crafty Nest, I knew we had extra cabinet doors. Well that day I also went to the thrift store & what do I see? A serving tray for $2 from Pier 1! It just needed some paint. Total cost: $2! I already had the spray paint & everything else.

I love visiting websites for decorating ideas, Pottery Barn happens to be one of them. When my new catalog came & I saw this bedding, I was in love! Too bad I had just dropped some serious cash on new bedding about 3 months ago! They have such nice stuff in that catalog!!
